  • Basic statistical knowledge: mean, variance, normal distribution and probability.
  • Experience in scripting in Python: reading files, loops, lists, dictionaries.

Instructors

Johannes studies public contracting markets using network methods. He is interested in patterns that emerge when actors are corrupt. He is also affiliated with the Government Transparency Institute and teaches data mining at the Aquincum Institute of Technology. He was born in Germany, grew up in the US, and has been living in Hungary since 2009.

Orsi spent 6 years as a data analyst at various startups, taking part in network science, data mining and NLP projects. Her main interests are to transfer academic findings into everyday business solutions. Besides, she writes articles about startups, data analytics and traveling. Active member and ambassador of the Bridge Budapest Association, an organizer in Django Girls Budapest and at the KONNEKT Mentor Organization. In her free time, she loves hiking, paragliding and exploring new countries.
